Beyond the boundaries of campus, an array of international business resources exists to support Wisconsin’s business community and economy.




  • International Wisconsin
    Provides international resources and information on Wisconsin for business people, travelers and educators in other countries.
  • Madison International Trade Association
    Comprises more than 200 international sales and marketing executives from Wisconsin companies, plus the support-service providers who help turn export opportunities into profitable sales.
  • Milwaukee World Trade Association
    Membership organization linking companies and individuals with common interests: the expansion of international business, exchange of experiences, increasing member knowledge and expertise in international sales and services.
  • Trade Show Travel Grant Program
    Designed to encourage Wisconsin companies to seek out new international markets. Developed by the UW-Madison Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER), in conjunction with the Wisconsin Department of Commerce-International Division.
  • Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA)
    Fosters alumni connections in nearly 50 countries, in addition to active alumni chapters in the U.K., Europe and Pacific Rim nations.
  • Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF)
    Manages the technology transfer and licensing processes, bringing university research to businesses and industries worldwide.
  • International AgriBusiness Center (IABC)
    Identifies export opportunities for Wisconsin food and agricultural products, organizes export seminars, disseminates trade leads and conducts individual export consultations. Part of the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.
  • Wisconsin Department of Commerce, International Division
    Helps assess the demand for a product outside of the United States, plans an approach to international markets and introduces potential customers, distributors, partners or service providers.
