The Capitol Gateway Corridor is one of the primary entryways into the City of Madison and Madison’s downtown from the east, close to both the present downtown government and commercial districts and to the East Isthmus residential neighborhoods. It is a logical and attractive location for relatively intensive redevelopment as a future extension of the downtown employment area.
